Meriden Movers

The mission of the Meriden Health Department is to improve the overall health and wellbeing of Meriden residents through outreach, collaboration, education, and community involvement.
A program that helps us achieve this mission is the Meriden Movers community walking program. This program, which just celebrated its 1 year anniversary, encourages all Meriden residents to walk for better health. A community resource that has made this program a success is the Quinnipiac River Linear Trail which is an ideal location for people to walk for better health.

The Health Department invites and encourages all residents to use the Linear Walking Trail. The Meriden Movers program runs in 3 month-segments, and anyone interested can call the Health Department for more information or visit www.meridenhealth.com.
We are very grateful to have such a great resource in Meriden, and indeed, Linear Trails are More Than One Foot In Front Of the Other… they are much more.”
